Electromagnetic couplings let enganging and disenganging hydraulic pumps employed in marine sector (on boats and fishing boats), on garbage trucks and on air-conditioning units.
Running-in is required to obtain the desired ratad torque values of electromagnetic couplings. Running-in is carried out by engaging and disengaging clutch at high speed several times with the pump in exhaust position.
During assembly, make sure that there are no oil or grease traces on pulley surfaces whith must be completely clean.
When assemblying electric clutches with front driving fl ange, check for proper coupling alignment, but do not exceed rated torque because this would cause slippage of contact surface. This stage must not last more than 5 secs since coils could burn.
